Walking with Dinosaurs

Walking with Dinosaurs

We got to see the “Walking with Dinosaurs” extravaganza show at the Honda Center. Overall, it was a pretty amazing show. The dinosaurs were made to be life-size and mimic how they would have probably roamed the Earth. They had a variety of dinosaurs in the show. There were Allosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Liliensternus, Ornithocherius, Plateosaurus, Stegosaurus, Torosaurus, T-Rex, and Utahraptor. Don’t ask me what all of them were — I just pulled the list from the website! The Utahraptor (very similar to the Velocoraptor in “Jurassic Park”) were people in costumes. Don’t think of it like a Halloween costume cheesy. These things were legit and very well done. The others were large animatronics. All very detailed and easily believable.  The amount of effort put into the show was pretty evident. The special effects were quite special. It had me mesmerized for pretty much the whole time. The little ones seemed to like it — except when the T-Rex came out. That thing pretty much scared the sh*t out of me as well. But I was a big boy and didn’t cry.

Anyways, during the intermission, kids being kids, they felt the need to climb all over the suite. Here Zella and Jacob are trying to pin down Calista. Calista was posing for the camera the whole time — very much aware. While the other two couldn’t care less. No wonder kids under a certain age are free. They have more fun playing around with each other than sitting still watching a show.

  1. This is such a deep blog! What can I say, youve hit the nail right on the head! You even added some videos to make it seem so much more real. Youve got a great way of communicating with the reader, a great way of making me feel like what you have to say is just as important to me as it is to you. Keep it up!
