Project 52: Week 1 — And So It Begins…

Project 52: Week 1 -- And So It Begins...

Let me come out and say it right away: I severely neglected posting here in 2013.

6 posts throughout all of 2013.

Last post was April 28th.

That compares to 31 posts for 2012.

What happened?

A lot of factors lead to this, of course. Work, life, Instagram, kids, family, other random stuff…

I didn’t entirely stop posting photos, as you can tell from my Instagram feed. I will admit that Instagram fed my urges to share photos. It is easy, convenient and always there. And a very minimal workflow to post a photo.

But I miss telling a story behind a photo. I miss the process of selecting an image, post-processing it, falling in love with all the details and conjuring up a commentary about it. So this year I am embarking on a personal project.

Project 52: A post a week for a year.

By the end of this year, I will have posted 52 photos. 52 stories.

Here we go!

Say hello to June. Last time we saw her here, she just turned 1 year old. Now she is quickly approaching the end of her 2nd year. She is relentless in her pursuit of fun. Constantly on the move. She gets into everything and doesn’t care, as long as she is keeping herself busy. Getting dirty and messy is no deterrent to her.
