Spaghetti Junction

Strolling around art exhibits is something I truly enjoy. And there is definitely not a shortage of places around Southern California.

One of my favorite places to visit is LACMA — Los Angeles County Museum of Art. With a treasure trove of items on display, I can easily spend hours here and still feel like I haven’t experienced everything.

Currently on display is a Jesus Rafael Soto sculpture titled, Penetrable. This outdoor sculpture is unlike anything I have seen before. There are literally thousands of yellow rubber tubes hanging down from a platform. Each tube lightly touching the ground and spaced in a way that mysteriously lures passers-by into its tangled delight. It practically reaches out to you and pulls you in.

Walking through it, you get a vision of being a clownfish swimming through the tentacles of a sea anemone.
